José A. N. V. P. Morgado

  José A. P. Morgado was born in Figueira da Foz, Portugal, on November 23, 1963. He received the degree of “Licenciatura” in electrical engineering and the M. Sc. degree in Telecommunications and Computers, in 1991 and 1998, respectively, from Instituto Superior Técnico, Lisbon Technical University, Portugal.

From 1991 to 1994 he worked as avionics engineer at Portuguese Air Force. Since 1994 he has been a Lecturer at Portuguese Air Force Academy. He is presently working towards the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering at Instituto Superior Técnico, and his main present research interests include characterization and modelling of optoelectronic components and fiber optic communication systems.
