Abstract
|
This
paper gives some perspectives on likely trends for
the wireless Internet. The treatment is an exploration
of some technologies, and due to the nature of the
presentation it has not been possible to go into
any technical details. This is not a comprehensive
prognosis, but it should serve as a starting point
for discussion of what major research requirements
we should be addressing. We end the analysis by
pondering some issues conserning the wireless information
society.
